How it works

BPIR Ready overview

BPIR Ready is an online tool that helps those Aotearoa NZ manufacturers and importers of building products who have determined that their product is impacted by BPIR regulations.

It allows users to self-assess a product and prepare a BPIR summary that can be utilised as the basis for evidence-backed disclosure information, per the requirements of the regulations.

Here's how you use BPIR Ready:

  1. 1

    Select a category

BPIR Ready categories establish a specific base of performance obligations for a product under the building code.

  2. 2

    Identify any additional use

Where appropriate, questions about the product's specific application suitability will append further code clauses and/or removes clauses.

  3. 3

    Generate relevant building code clauses

BPIR Ready generates all relevant building code clauses for your product as well as guidance for outlining how your product contributes to compliance.

  4. 4

    Fill in other written sections

Utilise tailored writing tips based on your selections to outline other required disclosure information like your product's description, scope of use and conditions of use.

  5. 5

    Add documentation and contact details

Hyperlink key documents that support your BPIR disclosure information and add contact details.

  6. 6

    Review and share

Share your finished BPIR summary with team members or third party consultants, refining the content internally with our DOCX export and formatting it for your own desired publishing method.

  7. 7

    Self-publish

To comply with BPIR requirements, make your disclosure information accessible via your company website and product libraries like EBOSS, in your desired format.
